Ive built 7 vehicles from the original trilogy in the last couple months and i have no words to explain how fulfilling the building painting & displaying... its just amazing. ive been into games workshop models my whole life, but the price point on bandai models is a game changer. affordable hobby is now a term that isnt absurd haha

User friendly Bandai..
I have the Voltron, two AT-AT kits, and the standard 1/72 falcon from them.
I also love their Godzilla stuff..
I learned that old Bandai kits were a main source of greeblies on the millennium falcon in ANH. Bandai scanned the screen used falcon and were able to identify the original kits the parts came from. They remade those parts scaled down for the perfect grade falcon.
The circle of life.

The B-Wing is my absolute favorite...can't wait for that build series.

I can't tell you how many hours i spent in the B-Wing simulator, when i was younger. I actually have a B-Wing from the old MicroMachines Action Fleet line, displayed on one of my shelves.

Man Chris, your display room lends itself well to your skills that are more art than hobby. For a guy like me who loved building and painting models to the level of using masking tape, rattle cans and a good set of fine detail brushes. Hell in the late 60's and early 70's in my world of limited budget using rattle can's, fine detail brushes and "freezer tape" for masking....electrical tape or scotch tape if I needed a tight line was steppin in high cotton. Forget about lighting my builds in those days. My being forced to retire relatively young due to serious medical issues left me with time on my hands that better be filled with something fun as opposed to dwelling on how much time I had left. A few YouTube video's later featuring LED's, SMD's and an airbrush to replace the rattle cans for the most part and I'm having fun again ! The Deagostini Falcon which I'm still slowly but surely working on found me running across your video journal on your Deagostini Falcon build. Then your Bandai lighted Star Wars video's and I find myself downright inspired ! Thanks for taking the time to record, edit, voice over, render and upload them so I will continue to find myself truly inspired. And, by the way, your right ! Bandai's level of crisp detail is beautiful. Kits have come a long way since I was a kid.

All the best Chris,
Wakeman

Really like Bandai kits just wish they would do more 1/48 or larger rather than 1/144 and 1/72

I started buying these a couple of years ago, and everything you say is true; brilliant detail and fun to build. So far I have made the TIE IN, Snowspeeder, AT-AT, AT-ST, A-Wing, Y-Wing, Speeder Bike, a bunch of the 12th scale figures, and have 16 unbuilt kits including the 48th scale X-Wing and foot-long Imperial Destroyer. I'd love to make the 72nd scale Falcon, but just can't justify spending that much. I'd do $200, but I can't find it for less than $400.
They just started promoting the Mandalorian and Razor Crest kits. I knew they'd be coming. I still hope to see more OT vehicles, like the Jawa Sandcrawler, Bespin Air-car, Rebel Transport, Medical Frigate, Tie Bomber, Lambda Class Shuttle, maybe Jabba's Sail-barge? Plus there's plenty of figures I want to build, including Bossk, IG88, SnowTrooper, AT-AT Driver, EV-9D9, TIE Pilot, etc, etc... (not to mention Clone Wars era stuff!) Apaart from Rogue One, I'm not interested in Disney Star Wars.
Maybe I'll start my Star Destroyer today.. heh heh

And, ya, love the Bandai kits. They’re really great. Been modelling for, um, 50 years. Say no more!

I've actually built the First order Tie Fighter and Special Forces Tie and painted them to as close to the studio models. Though after the Debut of the Skywalker Rises teaser it might be possible there might be a First Order TIE Interceptor coming from Bandai.

I really want to get into these, I like that you don't have to glue every little piece like other kits, I just wish they came more ready painted too. That's just how lazy I really

These are as great as I would expect from Bandai, though I'd like to see them cover some prequel era designs, like the LAAT Gunship, ARC-170, Naboo Starfighter etc.

I really like the Bandai Star Wars Spaceship Models. Mini versions too. Epic. I would like to see the standard version B-Wing build. Thanks for sharing your builds. They're awesome.

Oh hell yeah! So glad I watched this video! Just ordered 0-0-0. Thank you so much for that info. Wife said “That’s enough models for the month though please.” Luckily she sent it in a text so I can quote her on that in a few weeks. 😈

Hello, Christopher! Just found your channel. I am getting ready to expand my modeling horizons by delving into Star Wars kits. I just got the Ban Dai X-Wing, and am going to peruse your channel for inspiration.

Yes, the Bandai kits are awesome in their detail, even on the smaller ship models. Generally, I buy the kits because I love the instruction pamphlets that come with them. Some great orthographic photos of the finished products in them, which make for great texture sources for my computer generated model builds in Blender.

I also think that Fantasy Flight games make some excellent and highly detailed miniature builds for their X-wing and Armada table top games. From X-wing, I have both the Han Solo and the Rey Millennium Falcons, the TIE Punisher (think TIE Bomber with extra weapons bays arranged in an "x" configuration), the Lambda class shuttle, and the large miniature of the Corellian Corvette (my favorite ship in the Star Wars universe). From Armada, I have the Gladiator, VIctory, and Imperial class Star Destroyers. (The Gladiator was inspired by the Star Destroyers we saw in the 80s animated series: Star Wars Droids). I am eagerly awaiting (what is sure to be very expensive) the Super Class Star Destroyer, the Executor. I would love to see Bandai do a model kit of The Executor.

Christopher, your model builds are exquisite. The level of detail and painting, and the electronic rigging you did for the cockpits, engines, and weapons. Very, very well done. Your accolades are well deserved.

HA! I have that same Weylan-Yutani shirt. Bought it at a Comic-Con a few years ago.
