Bandai's X-Wing Starfighter model in 1/72 scale is a highly detailed, precision model kit that captures the essence of one of the most beloved spacecraft from the Star Wars universe.

Bandai is renowned for its quality and attention to detail, and this model kit is no exception. It is designed to appeal to both beginners and seasoned modelers.

The model comes with pre-colored plastic parts. Markings are included as decals and stickers. The model can be shown in flight using the included display stand or standing with the landing gear extended.

I created my own color scheme and upgraded the cockpit with leftover PE parts. A self-made display base with 3D printed accessories made a great model project that I had a lot of fun with.

Overall, the Bandai X-Wing model kit is a must-have for Star Wars fans and model enthusiasts, offering a satisfying project that results in a beautiful display piece.

Really nice build and those are some great droids. I just checked and I have this same kit but also Micro Machines made a bunch of starwars characters in the same scale!!! I have like 150 of them to play with…. My head is spinning with ideas. Haha.

Looks really good. I'm looking back at some of your other Star Wars builds now. Was this X-wing OK with the thinner you used for the oil paints? I've read that Bandai plastic goes brittle and snaps when exposed to it, and that certainly seemed to be the case on my Y-wing - bits started breaking and falling off a few weeks later.
