Wow! You guys made it through a whole video without talking about movies. I'm so proud of you! (Seriously, though, this is one of your better-produced vids)

Wow, the sheer nerd joy they have discussing custom shops. This may be the first time they never went off topic.

You thoughts on the "What would you do?" are spot on. But, I would add, most of us who know less than than about the possibilities will always appreciate any guidance/input, regardless of whether we ultimately take it.

I bought a used 2017 team built strat on Reverb a few years back for $2600 and It's the best strat I've ever played. Prices really took off after that so I'm glad I got mine.

the best fender custom shops are : my partscasters ( tele and strat ), easy to build these day's, you can buy and type off body, neck, pre loaded pick guard, hardware, ect . on the web, then put it all together, do you're own set up ( wich in my view is something every selfrespecting guitarist should be able to do ) and you're done, it's saves a shitload off money and you don't have to wait 1-2 years for a guitar wich is way to expensive anyways .

I'm an American watching from Lviv Ukraine now. This is a nice distraction while we still have power and internet.
I won't ever leave these people behind, I'm with them till the end. But... if you want to know the second reason, it's because all my guitars are here!

Sounds like getting on the Packers season ticket list. You do it for your kids...by the time you get it...they can play along ;)

Great shop .. I haven't been there yet .. but I've bought several guitars from Gian .. very nice guy .. all guitars arrived safe and sound. Highly recommend Gino's ..

The thing that got me to masterbuilt was getting something truly custom that was not possible in a team built. A great experience working with Baxter.

Thanks guys, I really dig your feeds. Unless I run into a huge sum of moneys somehow I can't see myself justifying a master build although I'd love to order one! I'm hoping to buy a custom shop guitar one of these days though. None the less, great information and real interesting... thanks again 👍

I think the key thing here with this is really knowing somebody that knows about the custom shop they could guide you through it they’re a lot of stories from the guys that know what they’re doing and the people that receive their guitars and how they’re just perfect and I also seen a lot of people who had this idea of what you’re post to get and you’re super disappointed I don’t know if that’s the sales person or the rep for custom shop or the idea of your thoughts coming into reality and not being there with you expected but I would definitely say go with somebody who knows about Fender custom shop

The twisted tele neck pickup is amazing I always liked the humbucker in the neck until I heard the twisted tele now I’m like humbucker who?🎸🤯🔫

Great video. I love FCS guitars, own three, would love to have more. One minor peeve I have with the relics is the very rusty hardware. It looks bad and isn't correct--if you look at 60-70 year old Fenders they don't have rusty hardware.

The guitar paul Waller did 3 days ago was next level relicing. He just upped fenders game. Damn in the last 6 years the relic has gotten better and better

Custom shop guitars have a certain flair but I'm happy with my 59 stratocaster thin skin from 2008, nitro lacquer, 54 custom pus, 7, 5 lbs and a 9'5 radius ("poor" man's custom shop)

Brilliant video! I think the best thing you implied here is it's always better to get another perspective. We all think we know what we would like, but often there's something we're not seeing. For instance, I always thought I knew what I wanted from my 'ideal guitar' until I bought a custom shop Strat. My first guitar had a U shaped neck and I absolutely hated it, so I've always gone for slim necks. But when I got my CS Strat it had a mid-60s 'chunky' C shaped neck. However the rolled fretboard edges made such a difference. It's an absolute dream to play! I think all Fender CS dealers should invest this time with their customers when it comes to builds, a happy customer is a customer who comes back. Thank you once again for a great video!
