Imagine being a normal 13 year old and having to play tennis with this dude in PE.
I’m interested in seeing his serve

Coach Patrick, thank you for this amazing video. I've been coaching a young lady for many months now, her forehand has always been a huge weakness/problem. I used your methods from this session, within 30 minutes her forehand was transformed. She went from an error-strewn beginner to crushing the ball with depth and spin during our hour practice. Thank you so much for providing us with

I remember hitting with him when he was much younger at David Lloyd Purley. Way to go Mark! Keep going and say hi to the family for me and your amazing mother 🎉🎉😃🎾

First things i noticed were his exceptional footwork and fluid hitting motion. Must be fun playing that good, especially being just 13 years old. Mouratoglou must have something going on, attracting so many good players.

This is a great video. I remember having exactly the same problem with the forehand. It is interesting to see that almost every beginner player can have this type of short or rushed forehand. Patrick's technique is gold. It took me a long time to get my mind to extend the arm through the shot as if someone would pull the front of your racquet forward and perpendicular to the net before you finish the swing up your shoulder.
So yeah, this is the best video I've seen that teaches a flawless, beautiful forehand.

Merci Patrick pour tes leçons sur you tube . C’est pas tout le monde qui peuvent ce payer des cours de tennis haut niveau. En tant que francophone ton anglais est facile à comprendre, , , je me sens bilingue merci

Good lesson. The player tucks his elbows in too close to his body on both his forehand and backhand. Good idea to get him to extend a bit. He doesn't have to hit a straight arm forehand like Federer and Nadal but Djokovic's bent arm forehand has his elbow out several inches from his torso. This player was tucking the elbow near his torso. He could also improve his 2 handed backhand by extending out to contact and getting his elbows away from his torso a few inches. You get more leverage and racket head speed when you are farther away at contact. I like the early prep too.

Mark Ceban. British No.1 for 14 and under boys. Could be future top pro.

He has a killer forehand. Perhaps good to explain that it works in some situations and in other situations which may not be under his control such as an opponent looking to counteract your tendencies, such as his tendency to full body rotation to generate both power and direction, potentially making him take that extra step to stabilise himself when landing.

With the early preparation and using racket speed to generate more spin, he has another type of weapon to generate or defend angles.

You can see the young man’s movements become more fluid when the coach tells him to relax.

Actually two technical skills before the adjusting, it is the legs drive, but no upper body mass impact after that is the upperbody rotation, but it looks not smooth.

The criticisms of some people here imply that they don't understand the context. Patrick does not coach beginners; he coaches players who are already exceptional but looking for the kind of micro-adjustments that make the difference between being a top 100 player and being a top 10 player.

And this is just one step in a process. Patrick is focusing on just a couple of concepts so that his student doesn't have to think about a bunch of new things at once. Yes, the kid's forehand was already very good, but Patrick is giving him the tools to be both consistently good and _efficiently_ good. These are some of the steps toward making a good player into a champion... which Patrick knows more than a little something about.
