Tutorial - Set up your joystick in Microsoft Flight Simulator

Just after the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator we've received a lot of questions about setting up a flightstick, which has no default mapping in FS2020. In this video i'll show you how to setup your joystick (axis, throttle and buttons) if it doesn't work out of the box with this new flightsim (i.e. CH Products, Speedlink, Sidewinder and the older Saitek sticks).

Unfortunately we've noticed one tiny mistake in the video. During the asignment of the buttons we're assigning 'flaps retract', which should be 'flaps decrease'.

On request we've made this video's in English :) Just after the release we've created some content about setting up your simulator in Dutch.

aileron - move js left or right
elevator - move js fwd or back
rudder - twist js left or right
throttle - slidder
key 1 - brake
key 2 - autopilot master
key 3 - retract flaps
key 4 - increase flaps
key 5 - toggle lights
key 6 - spoilers
key 7 - landing gear
key 8 - cockpit/external view

Excellent! Thanks for the help! FS2020 is totally non-intuitive, and it's inexcusable that there is zero help info in the program itself. FS2000 was so much more user friendly. They didn't have to change the control input setup, the 2000 version worked just fine.

for some reason, when i move the throttle back it goes all the way back to reverse throttle and dosen't stop at 0 thrust. Help

Much appreciate your video and the time and trouble taken to give an English version, which i used to set up THRUSTMASTER HOTAS 4 which had put on one side when i started on MSFS and purchased a logitech 3d pro which worked well but did not give to the many options of the old one which i had got used to.
