Turning the circuit board pen blank

The main reason I did a video on this is because these blanks are notoriously hard to turn. They do not turn like you average acrylic blank. They are very hard and turn with a powder rather than shaving. You must be very careful when turning these blanks and keep your tools extremely sharp. Take small slow bites and you will be fine. The blanks are nearly $20 each, but the final product speaks for itself.

I used the Penn State black circuit board blank with the 24kt gold Concava pen kit.

As an IT pro, I NEED to turn myself one of these! At $20 for the blank however, it will have to wait until I have done a few cheap ones. I'm a little rusty and don't want to jump right in with a pricy blank :) BTW the CA glue is a great idea, I could have used that on a couple of acrylics I made in the past.

Very well turned Dean you say in the description "not easy to turn and very expensive"  I'm with you on the turning but, I make my own blanks for wedding pens and could spend at least a day making just one so I think $20 is not that bad if you really want a circuit board blank. Just my opinion :-).  Great video though.
All the best
Tony.
