Blizzard's Last Chance

Microsoft has big plans for Blizzard. From doubling down on their big franchises, to creating a small internal team focused on 'AA' level projects. More and better Blizzard games, that's the plan anyway.

Making Blizzard "more prolific" is not their last chance. It's the final nail in their coffin.

It's not like they didn't have skunkworks projects in the universes of their games - vast majority of them didn't go anywhere and got axed. MS just wants to cheapen their brand by releasing fodder games. They tried to do the same exact thing with Bungie, making them slave out on Halo until they drop dead.

Maybe it's due to becoming an "adult" but I am finding smaller, good quality AA games engage me more nowadays.
