Unity Tip: Don't waste your memory! Copy Paste Component Values! #shorts #unity #gamedev

✅ Instead of memorizing or taking a screenshot, Copy Paste Component Values!
👍 Learn to make awesome games step-by-step from start to finish.

💬 Sometimes when testing your game you might play around with the values in some component.
But when you stop playing that component will reset. So that means you need to take a screenshot or memorize the values and insert them manually after stopping.
Or a much better approach is to right click on the Component and select Copy Component, then stop the game and right click Paste Component Values.

If you have any questions post them in the comments and I'll do my best to answer them.

See you next time!

I use that a lot on Audio Sources for sound effects. I copy the entire configuration so it stays consistent with the rest of the sound effects and then just replace the audio file!

Was just doing this a bunch today, even copying entire components and pasting them as new or their values.

To whomever didn't know this, I feel sorry for you. Very good time saver even when doing stuff outside of runtime.

It's such a small thing, but I didn't know that right click does the same as the three dots. I personally find the 3 dots annoying
