If you’re wondering how to change the desktop wallpaper on unactivated copy of Windows 10, you will be glad to know that there is a way to change the desktop background without activating Windows 10.

You can right click on any image file and choose "Set as desktop background" from the context menu.
Open File Explorer and navigate to the folder where you store your wallpapers.
Once you find the suitable image, just right click it and choose "Set as desktop background" from the context menu.
The image will be set as your desktop background ignoring the fact that Windows 10 is not activated.

Open Internet Explorer browser by typing Internet Explorer in Start menu search box and then clicking the icon.
Visit the webpage displaying the picture that you want to set as your unactivated Windows 10 desktop wallpaper.
Open it, right click on the image and then click "Set as background" option.
Click Yes button when you see the confirmation dialog with “Are you sure you want to replace your desktop wallpaper” message.
The new picture should now appear as desktop background.

You could also open an image in the Photos app and change your wallpaper.
While you have an image you want as your desktop background opened in the Photos app, click the menu button, click “Set as,” and click “Set as background.”
The image will be set as your desktop background ignoring the fact that Windows 10 is not activated.
