I don't think that thinking, intrusive thought could be true will be helpful...
You won't be able to put the spinning and ruminating away then. Mark Dejesus teaches that "the problem is not the problem". So for example, if you've had an intrusive thought about stabbing someone to death and are afraid that you might be a serial killer, then you're not. A serial killer wouldn't worry or be afraid of being a killer, because he has no empathy or remorse about that. All intrusive thoughts have their origin in things that we want to avoid at all costs

Are you mixing up intrusive and impulsive?
Impulsive is "I could eat this whole pizza in 5 minutes before my mother gets back"
Intrusive is "I could eat this baby in 5 minutes before its mother gets back"

You do NOT want to embrace those.
Ma'am did you ever have an intrusive thought? Thinking it can happen will make. it. worse. It's called intrusive for a reason, you don't want those thoughts
Instead you should acknowledge the fact that this is just a pop-up from your brain and it will not happen, that everyone who's included in the thought is safe
