Sterile, this soon to be music director designate of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, but there may be some real chemistry there that i doubt can happen between this dude and Concertgebouw.

Sad to see the Concertgebouworkest stoop so low.

This is revolting. And this is what the once-great Chicago Symphony Orchestra has chosen?!?! I suppose harmony, rhythmic intensity, rhetorical gesture etc etc are things of the past (except in some holdouts, such as Berlin) and what we have left are adolescent (I’m not referring to his age) self-indulgence. Well, at least we have recordings to remind us of what music is (used to be?)

I wonder if we’d know who he is if he weighed 250 pounds and had no hair?

Vanilla, caramel and whipped cream. Delicious. Beethoven cannot get any sweeter than that.

La interpretación mas hermosa de esta sinfonía ☺️🙏

This might be the worst “professional” Eroica I’ve ever heard.

Ideas take off, but go nowhere....overblown gesturing can truncate otherwise productive phrasing.... There is potential there, but many miles to go before they sleep. The someday-Maestro's youthful exuberance might well be better served if It served the music. Should be interesting to see what happens in Chicago....

He is almost as annoying as Yannick Nézet-Séguin, but not quite.

How bad can a performance be? Let's remember that the Concertgebouw is perfectly capable of producing an excellent performance without any conductor at all. This guy can't even get the orchestra to follow him resulting in some sloppy failures of ensemble.
