Worst vacuum ever! I have NEVER had a vacuum to cost so much and require so much maintenance to keep it running. I've owned just about every model and it's always the same insane amount of maintenance. I'm done with Dyson!

Holy crap! I took apart the brush head today because my dyson wasn't moving the brush head at all. I noticed the mechanism was really hard to move so I figured there was hair there. Then I found your video showing how to take it apart, and THANK YOU SO MUCH! I WOULDNT HAVE EVER NOTICED THAT SCREW THERE. There was about 3x the amount of hair as you found in yours. You saved me from buying a new one, I bet at least $100. Thank you so much! Its working like new.

Excellent instructions. I really appreciate that you don't waste people's time with over explaining every little detail. This was easy to follow, and I DID find the little monster tuft under the spinner .. however after I put everything back together it STILL didn't spin very fast (it did spin though). Turns out the main issue was that my dog had torn some cardboard into little shreds that I had vacuumed up prior to this event and I thought I had cleared all the little pieces (the hose and head were clear). And suction seemed "okay". So I took off the hose right at the ball and there is a tiny slot where debris enters the ball that had a few very small pieces of cardboard trapped. Not enough to restrict the air but apparently enough to weaken it to the point that the turbine wouldn't spin very fast. I cleared that out and it runs like new now. Thank you very much for this great video.

Just amazing! I just fixed mine today and saved myself 150$. This made my day. The hardest part was finding a screwdriver like yours small enough to insert into the tubing. Thanks again!

OMG I wish I had found this last year I purchased a new powerhead then when it stopped I knew it would be something simple. I'd always cleaned the roller brush but didn't know about that last trick. You're a life saver and great simple explanation!

Wow. Thank you. I couldn't believe I might of had to buy another vacuum after only having this one for 18 months... thanks so much. Great tips.

After the first try, I bought star drive screwdrivers and successfully removed a massive, dense hair-donut from under the spindle. This is a brilliant video to help the consumer overcome a design flaw that should have been tweaked long ago. Thanks

Very clear instructions no shortcuts and for the longest time I had been struggling to figure out why the brush would be so slow! I did not want to spend another $500 on a new one you saved me money thank you!

Worked like a charm! The hair build up over the years behind the little turbine from a wife and two daughters was substantial.

Thanks for the awesome tutorial, it was indeed dryer fluff and hair jammed in the brush, fixed it in half a minute thanks to you!
The turbine head retails for £60 here in the U.K., I’m so glad I watched your video.

I was having the same issue with mine, and even after I cleaned the entire roll I wouldn't have ever know that one could actually remove the roller base and that hair would be stocked in there. I'll clean it again. I was so bummed out the roll would not spin as it should after I cleaned it thoroughly, but I'm sure this will do the trick. Thanks for posting!!

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve googled how to fix something and you’ve helped me out. The final trick here did the job, just when I was about to send it for repairs. Super easy. Although, when I was half way through pulling out all the screws I realised my fingers were small enough to get in there without pulling it all apart. Saved me money, effort and worry. Thanks! 👍🏻

Brilliant video. I usually hate ploughing through how-to videos, especially the Dyson ones. This one was nicely paced and really easy to follow.

Excellent advice, turned out not be as as simple as your video, really difficult to take apart, but would never have known what to do without this video, thank you very much, great video.

Thank you so much! I got the same black ball of hair. I have checked everywhere and thought it was broken. You saved my money ! BUT I am done with Dyson! Expensive and requires too much care! Never again!
