What a life saver you are! No telling how much money you saved me by this video. I have a Dyson V15 Detect that isn't that old (just days out of warranty ha-ha), and the gaskets just fell into the trash when I was emptying the bin. Since I have 5 dogs and 1 cat, I use the vacuum at least once every day (most days 2 or 3 times). By watching and listening to you video 3 times, I think I can now fix the vacuum without having to call Dyson and buy new parts. I'm a 72 year old widow who does what she has to do to keep things up and running. I am thankful for your help.

This really helped me a lot. I don't have a lot of money and I was just about to take the vacuum to the repair shop. The video was straight to the point, clear detail and nothing unnecessary.

Perfect-o! Video is well put together and doesn't waste time with a lot of random, unrelated info. Like others, while emptying the dust bin the red squeegee-gasket and plastic ring fell into the garbage can. Thanks to your video I'm back in business sucking up hair and crumbs. I'm a 65+ technical writer and your instructions are spot on. Thanks for saving me time and money!

It's amazing how many of these things that look like they are fool proof get broken by various members of the family. I didn't dislodge mine, but I thank you very much for your great, very instructional video on how to fix this problem. I don't know if I would have been able to do this without your help, without breaking or destroying the seal or the vacuum cleaner container. A great deal of thanks from someone in Australia!

OMG! I DID IT!!!! Thank you so much! Ironically, I just ordered a replacement bin this afternoon but, since I've succeeded in fixing it, following your instructions, I'll send the new bin back soon as it arrives. Miracles do happen. The next time something goes wrong, and I'm sure it will, I'll revisit your channel. God Bless You!

Huge appreciation! My Dyson was on the fritz, and thanks to your repair video, my husband became a total hero and fixed it himself! Saved us a trip to Dyson repair.

Thank you so much for this video. I thought I was going to have to write this V11 Dyson off. I followed your instructions and the repair worked fantastic!

Aloha Richards, After following your detailed video, I was able to put my dust bin together again! I did not have the tool Torx T-8 so I used a plier to take of that tiny screw. I feel good about myself after successfully fixing this bin! Thank you for your expertise!

Yay! Mine has been separated for the past couple months and I wasn't sure how it went back together. I just glued it and reassembled it and so far so good! Forced me to clean it inside too so now it looks like a new vacuum again. Didn't have that small a screw driver for the screw but a kitchen knife worked.

Thank you sm for the video!! These exact pieces fell off while cleaning the bin or putting back to the body and I had no idea where to put back. Emailed Dyson support but they ask me the serial number, purchase date, etc (although I am already in their system), email went back and forth.. never get the answer.. This video is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a bunch!!!

Super helpful! Thank you! We did have a slightly harder time reassembling the “grey cap ring” onto the red squeegee than you appeared to have, but with a little squeezing we got it to sit in there (before the glue set!). Thanks again!

This worked great!!! All the other videos I watched said you just have to buy a new seal and that Dyson is always out of stock. I did order a back-up one on Amazon for $8 incase this didn't work. But I am so glad it did work if you already have a T8 screw driver. I love the idea of super glueing the rings together to help them stay together. Thank you!!!

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I (wrongly) assumed that the part that had become detached was vital to my v12 and very nearly ordered a new Dyson. I'm so pleased I decided to look for a home repair solution. I did try using my machine without the squeegy bit but it wasn't too convenient having to clean it frequently so I fixed it as per your instructions. Bingo! Good quality glue cost me about £5. Far cheaper than a new machine.

Once I found my T8 Torx, everything went as per your video.
Perfect, cheers.

Thank you so much for the video. This has been a problem with my V11 Torque and I have fixed the rings twice now. I did not know that I could still get full ability to operate the vacuum without them attached so that helps for next time when I don't have the time to play the ring game! You make it look so easy so I will try the glue trick as well and hope it works long term.
