I actually used Zorin OS when building a PC for my younger cousin. He was previously a Windows user but the budget was tight for the PC so I proposed trying Linux out and spending the extra Windows money on better hardware. He agreed. I told him that at whatever point when he feels like he wants to switch back to Windows - I'll help him out with that. He's been running Zorin for like 3 months and so far never asked to go back to Windows. Stuff just works, most games he plays work great on proton. There's been a few instances I had to help him and show him a few terminal tricks to make his life easier, but it seems that he doesn't mind as 99% of things are accessible from the GUI.
ZorinOS is not my personal choice as a long time Linux user, but it's amazing for newbies.

I bought Zorin Pro... It's solid and clean. Haven't had any real issues. It's definitely worth a look.

I guess I'm part of the rare breed Zorin OS users out there. Zorin OS was my proper entry point to using Linux about less than a year ago and surprising I never left outside of changing the version of the OS and the Window Manager from Xfce to GNOME. Nvidia drivers work ok and most of my CG and Game Development tools I use on Windows just works.

This was my first Linux distro. 10/10 would recommend for someone curious about Linux.

Zorin OS was the distro that got me to switch my laptop over to Linux permanently. I'm distro-hopping currently just to experiment, but even after trying Arch and loving it I'm still sorely tempted to go back to Zorin just due to its nice spot at the intersection of usability, quick setup and beautiful interface.

When my hard drive went out, I upgraded to an SSD. I almost went with Zorin, but chose Linux Mint instead. I'm loving Linux!

I really love Zorin OS. It's fun, very easy to use, it's stable, and windows games work mostly without any hassle. Also it looks good. I really do I like it. Not once I've had to fiddle around in terminal.

Bought Pro, amazing OS, never had issues I had with Ubuntu or others, almost as if Zorins' team spent way more time fine-tuning stuff in the distribution. Would definitely recommend for anybody.

I always smile when you say 'strong and complicated password' 😁😁

The strong and complicated password goof always gets a chuckle out of me. But yeah Zorin is great, it was actually my first distro I used and am still using on my work laptop. Despite some one off issues that I managed to fix by simply resetting the system, it's been my go to stable distro of choice thanks to how light, fast and intuitive it is while packing everything I need.

Zorin is great to break the ice into Linux. I do like that they don't have stuff like vim and htop which, while popular amongst linux fans, aren't really going to be used by Windows and Mac converts.

I had some difficulty with getting graphics drivers set up to work on a hybrid gfx system, so there's still some ways to go, but I'm a big fan of how well they've styled GNOME so far!

I built a machine for my sister like 5 months ago. It's an old Frankenstein made of very old parts + an SSD. The CPU is the youngest and it's from 2009 (aside from the GPU). I installed Zorin Core just to see if it would run, and it runs pretty good. I could've gone lighter, but she liked it as it was, so there was no turning back at that point.

Nothing technical to say. Just a nice recent memory I thought I'd share :).

I know more folks running Ubuntu alternatives like Zorin than arch. I’ve been running Zorin for over 8 months. Really like it

When I was new to Linux I could never get my WiFi printer to work--until I tried Zorin! My Kodak printer/scanner installed and ran like a cat with Zorin Lite. I've had a soft spot for Zorin ever since. It really is noob friendly. Looks good too.

I love how the strong and complicated password is a running gag of this series.

Zorin must not have fully updated, because mine is running V 102. One of Zorin's selling points, is that if you try to install a Windows program, it will either attempt to help set up WINE, or recommend a Linux alternative. I've had some luck using that.

I bought Zorin 16 pro. Well worth it...I thought of the $39 mostly as a 'thank you'. Very nice.
(However LM 20.3 is my daily driver).

Thank you so much DT for visiting Zorin OS 16. And yes, I have the same issue as yours where Gnome Software takes a long time to search an app. Even sometimes it won't show up the result of wanted app. That's the only reason why I learned how to use terminal immediately, especially package manager. I think Zorin OS is a great distro to welcome new comers to linux from Windows and MacOS, but at the same time it requires a bit of learning curves. I've been using Zorin OS 16 for 7 months now as daily driver. Never touch my Windows 10 anymore. And I'm recently checking and testing out Arch Linux in Gnome Boxes. I also followed your Arch Linux installation using the archinstall script video to install it.
