Very useful tip for securing the body. I shall follow your other tips whilst I work on my Warwick bass project.

Great job on the video. And what a great tip putting a Scraper on the heat gun. I ordered a Wagner keep gun from Amazon yesterday and it comes with a Scraper Attachment cool

I just finished one this morning and that is an absolutely miserable job getting the urethane coating off without gouging the wood underneath. I did an epiphone Les Paul I bought for $50 with bad electronics in it.

By the way when you screw the neck back on back up the screws a little bit make sure the threads catch

Cool work. What brand/type of mask are you using?

Thanks

Excellent video. What type of gloves (e.g. welders gloves, ordinary work gloves, or something else) were you wearing in the video to protect your hands from the heat?

This was great. Curious, because you will sand a little after heat peeling, what are your thoughts on using an orbital sander right from the go to remove the paint and finish? Also, what type of mask did you use?

i suggest using heat resistant rubber pads on protecting the bottom part of the guitar from scratches. Rubber foams could easily burn from the intense heat of the heat gun and could melt along the guitar body and you could also inhale the toxic fumes. So be careful guys.

Very interesting video. I have a "78 Gibson Les Paul Custom. That was originally a NATURAL finish. When I had it a few years, I had someone paint it WHITE. Now, I want to strip it back to natural. My question is; since Gibson guitars don't have bolt on necks. How would you suggest I secure the guitar and neck to the work bench ? Thanks. Anthony.

Hey dude, great video love how detailed this is. Would you recommend these methods for stripping ploy off a 335 style guitar? 3ply maple body. If not what would you do differently?

Do guitars with a natural, wood-stained finish have a clear coat that needs to be taken off similarity or can you just sand them and start painting?

I had no idea that the finish was that thick
