I'm not that keen on wrapping my body in plastic, especially when I'm sweating, getting hot and/or being in the sun. So although there are some cons with cotton for activewear I'l always be choosing something natural every time

I will admit, I'm not into sportswear, and on top of that a self confessed devotee to the time honored classic that cotton is! I thought I would completely disagree with this whole video. After watching I was very impressed and learnt a lot (subscribed of course!) I'll still be sticking with natural fibres for my work! however anyone who is serious about garment design should be watching this channel! great work

I like my activewear in 100 polyesters most of the time. If it's freezing, I prefer a cotton-polyester blend hoodie over a workout shirt and cotton-polyester blend sweat pants.

I can't believe I put a dozen videos on my watch later and they're all useless compared to this ONE video in terms of packed information regarding polyester. 😭😭 Thank you! This video is such a huuuggeee help! 😤😤🔥🔥👍👍

I find that polyester feels great when you first buy it, but over time it does break down and it starts to feel itchy. I have never had that issue with cotton. That said, I choose the fabric based on what I'll use it for. There are also 50-50 cotton/poly blends out there that seem to work out pretty well for a lot of things.

Polyester fabric is airtight, but durable and sunscreen. Pure cotton fabric is breathable and comfortable, but it is not wearable and easy to pilling. It has its own merits. I prefer mixed materials, just as many big brands use mixed materials to make clothes, such as CK, Tommy and smaconsum

Would you recommend 100 percent of polyester for winter rather than summer in dress shirt attire

I think polyester shirts get smelly more easily and should be washed more frequently than cotton shirts.

As a runner 100 per cent polyester is critical its strong and long lasting and the best athletic garments are polyester.

For me, polyester is way more comfortable than cotton because it doesn't cause any irritation whatsoever and I like the silky smoothness of it.

For someone that sweats a lot, would higher cotton (60% cotton/40% polyester) be better in the summer, or higher polyester (60% polyester/40% cotton)?

Best 60% cotton 40% polyester sports t shirt?

Not sure if it depends on the humidity or not, but here in Arizona polyester just makes me bead up sweat on my body and it gets trapped between me and the shirt. Cotton on the other hand pulls it away from my body then my shirt simply dries in the dry heat we have here.
