What kind GSM should I select if I make a polyester legging? Ex-Composition polyester 82% and spandex 18% at which GSM? Interlock or single jersey?

What about compression strength? Could these also be used for lower level compression garments ( leggings) for those w lymphatic issues like swelling in the legs? Not saying as a medical level garment but lots of us don't need a medical level of compression. Medical leggings are extremely expensive and I think these could work for women w Lipo- edema. One could go down a size if not tight enough. IT would save a lot of money for a woman who is financially strapped and needs compression now.

do you know why we see more options of nylon with high spandex % than poly? like we often see 62% nylon 38% spandex fabric but rarely see 62% polyester 38% spandex?
