Brilliant! Thanks for making such a clear and concise video tutorial!
You've answered every question I had for copying my primary SD to the new dive I've had sitting on my desk for over a year. Thankfully, I already have an hard drive duplicator, too. I bought it when I built my last PC, several years back. They cost about half the price of a mid-sized hard drive, but they're worth every cent.

With this tool, work is simplified and time is saved. Back in time it took hours to clone. Greetings from Argentina!

Mike, Only one comment talks about swapping one m.2 for a larger one - even to a larger 3.5". I realize this video is a few years old, so I'm wondering if a dock to do this exists yet. You asked about the motherboard there so let me say this build has an MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max with only one m.2 slot. I do have another build with a Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro AC which has two m.2 slots in case that's what is needed.

Just a qwik note, maybe update subject of video to include 'Orico Disk Cloning Dock' - don't want to buy additional hardware!

Mike, This is an amazing video. Few questions does the cloning dock remove everything off the source drive? As I don't want anything to be removed in case anything was to go wrong and secondly software/games will they work fine after cloning?

Using a duplicator machine, do you ever run into the Windows operating system having to be re-activated for the new SSD to work?
How about when you install the original SSD into a different machine that had a different licence than the SSD you're installing?

WOW that looks so simple even I might be able to do it. Same as you I have a 120 gb ssd with windows 10 and just bought a 256gb ssd cheap. Thought there would be lots of steps to copy one to the other. I need to buy me one of those cloning stations. It wont muck up the windows 10 activation on the new drive will it. On older windows pc's I had before back in the old days I upgraded parts and then it said too many changes have been made to this pc and deactivated windows cause it thought i copied it to a different pc. Does this not happen when using this cloning station . Good video thanks I am subscribing now.

hi, before cloning to my ssd, do i need to connect my ssd first to the pc then have windows recognize it first, before doing the cloning process?

Thank you very much for your video, it was very helpful. I followed every step and cloned my PNY SSD 480gb to my nre Samsung 970EVO in hopes that I'd have more breathing room ( my C drive is to its maximum), but when I went to expand that new C drive, the "Extend Volume" text is grayed out and I'm still stuck where I was. HELP! what did I do wrong, or better, what can I do to fix this. Thank You.

I am computer illiterate but I just bought a 1TB ssd and currently have a 256gb SSD. Is it as simple as just doing what I watched here and everything will transfer over including my windows 10? sorry for dumb question :(

Great and helpfull chanel. I have a question about the extend volume. I have cloned a disk and there are about 700gb unallocated and I cant seem to extend the volume, I am trying to do this with the disk in te dockingstation and using disk management. is the problem that I cant extend the volume until I have put the disk back in my computer (this is the systems disk)?
