sorted- I was going to do it as a recovery- but tried it like you - 'back up all files' and it worked. Looked at a black screen for 2min during boot up but then all went well, thanks

I'm using Snow Leopard and an older version of SuperDuper. When transferring from my 500 gb HDD to 250 gb SSD, I run out of space. The HDD has over half of the space remaining. I can't get mine to work.

Perhaps the newer SuperDuper version works from going to a larger drive to smaller.

Thanks. Does this work the other way around when cloning to a larger drive. I want to upgrade my 1tb ssd to a 2tb ssd using super.

thank you again Bruce Computing, , Big HELP, oh one thing i have a 3.0 usb sata cable and it is still slow speed is keeps flukuating, from 21.20 to 26, 78MB's so its not fast at all right..i am just going to stick with 2.0 usb if they cos less, LOL
