Create Gmail Dock or Desktop Icon Shortcut

Access Gmail in one click by placing a Gmail icon shortcut in your dock (Mac), Start Menu (Windows) or on your desktop.

2. Click the More button in the top right of the Chrome window.

3. Click More Tools.

4. Click Create Shortcut…

5. Type a name for the shortcut. For example, Gmail.

6. Choose whether you want the shortcut to open as a window. If not, it’ll open as a tab in an existing Chrome window, if there is one.

7. Click Create.

8. A Finder (Mac) or Explorer (Windows) window will open, revealing the new shortcut.

9. Drag the shortcut onto your Desktop, Dock (Mac) or Start Menu (Windows).

10. Enjoy one-click Gmail access! 😀

After more tools I don't get create short cut. It doesn't appear as an options. Any ideas please

Thank you! This is the way I was looking for. I knew I had done it before but couldn't remember how. Tried googling it but found another way which is less ideal, more complicated. This is the best way!

how do you make it work for alternative emails? i tried doing it but it only kept opening my main gmail account even though the shortcuts were made while inside the other accounts

Hey, great tutorial! However, if you click on the link 50 times, it opens 50 different browser tabs. How to link the shortcut to one unique browser tab???
