I do love all of them. They all are also important for character growth of protgonists:

The "manipulator" tests the trust for another and the intellect of the protagonists,

The "perfect being" shows their flaws, motivating them to never stop growing as a person

The "fallen hero" serves as a dark mirror, reminding them of their ideals and to never fall from their path

And the "pure evil" makes people Set aside their rivalries to take them down.
