There's no mention of audio in this tutorial video but so many comments here are saying there is no sound in their recordings. If I am playing a video on my PC (for example a music video or a sitcom) and want to capture it, will there be no sound?

Can VLC Media Player record sounds and music as well? You forgot to mention that in your video as well. Can this software make suitable videos for uploading on YouTube as well?

It records the screen fine, but I am also having the same issue of no sound in the recording as I have played a song while the screen was recording. Is there any way at all to fix this issue? Does anyone know how to record with the sound involved as well not just a silent video?

We need help to get audio as every video on this subject doesn't show how to get the audio recorded making this useless, I appreciate the video but with no audio it's worthless so can you make an updated video showing how to get audio recorded either from us peaking or an actual videos audio that we are recording. I seen in the comments that VLC could record sounds. Did you show in you video how to record sounds as well as creating a video? I would like to use VLC to sample a dvd and make a video of my favorite parts of the dvd movies I have. Or even capture from a webinar with the sound. Thanks for the info about VLC Player..
