◆What is the HUNTER×HUNTER anime?
Serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) since 1998, HUNTER×HUNTER is an epic adventure story by Yoshihiro Togashi. Gon, the protagonist, who takes the hunter’s exam to become a hunter like his father and be able to meet his father, continues to challenge the “unknown” world with his friends, Killua, Leorio, Kurapika and others he has met in an ongoing emotional journey.
The TV animation HUNTER×HUNTER, based on the manga of the same name, was broadcast from October 2011 to September 2014 on Nippon Television and other networks, and is still supported by many fans as a work that portrays the new “Hunter World” while maintaining the passionate story from the original manga.
The comic series has sold more than 84 million copies (including digital editions)

Almost wish this project was delayed until the manga came back in full force. Maybe the resurgence in popularity would allow for a bigger budget?

I feel like this will be fine mechanically but it's a bit painful to see one of the best shounen anime franchises not getting the same visual polish as a Bleach, Naruto DBZ game. If the reviews say it's fun, I'll def pick it up though.

Just found out it got delayed to 2025 to properly implement rollback net-code. Kind of unsettling to think you hadn't already done this, but better late than never.

I'm really looking forward to the game and it looks great, but not $60 USD great so here's hoping it's a half price release.

This down.... is going to be sick AF! I'm glad here lately the author has been feeling well enough to start releasing more of the story. On his own time of course. Eventually we'll probably get a reboot of the anime as well. I'm very glad that arc decided to handle the franchise in the way that they are and this isn't just some lame anime adaptation like most companies have been doing. We haven't gotten a good anime fighter since Dragonball fighterz first came out. Now I haven't played dbz sparking zero yet but it seems like people are loving it. I just really hope they expand the character roster to at least 18-30 fighters and don't try to release them most as dlc. I miss the good old days when you used to have to do certain achievements to unlock new characters. That's something we havnt seen in a long time. That I know of anyways. This will be a day one purchase for me and I'm glad that the devs have decided to delay it instead of rushing it to polish up a few things. Shows that they don't want to just drop a 80 percent finished title like most devs would do and worry about patching it later.
