Never seen a benefit to believing in god.
If i want to do the things you all claim he wants us to follow then whats the point of following a god other than being someone for bad people to fear? And how good id a god who the most useful thing is to make people fear enough to behave? How good is the followers if their moral compass is so weak that they need to believe that they'll be punished eternally to just be a good person?
Cant say i see christians be better people morally on average than any other people either so im not even tempted to believe just because his followers would be good people.
If im punished for not believing after living a life as a good person just because i dont believe in something that never gave me a reason for it being more real than narnia then god is a cruel tyrant.
