I think the 4070 will not be a huge leap over a 3080 to be honest. The 4070 is expected to have approximately 25% fewer compute units than the 4070ti. So I do not expect the 4070 to get too close to the 4070ti. Instead I expect this card to be pretty much a 3080 at nearly the same price as a 3080 but with 12GB instead of 10GB (3080 12GB aside). Total stagnation.

My oldest son is into competitive gaming and last year after several months on evga's list i was able to get him a 3060ti.

This year for his birthday I agreed to get him a 4070, when I saw the price for the 4070ti i was disappointed that theyre charging so much. I hope your right on pricing

The problem in 4K gaming with the RTX 4070ti is the low 0.1% it shows the gpu needs more ram. It’s crazy that you have to compromise at those higher prices, not worth the money, the entire stack is a dust collector at those abusive prices.

VR is becoming a major problem with the 3070 ti. 3080 ti out performs the 4070 ti in VR. i expect the 4070 to be much worse. Nvidia is cutting memory bandwidth in these cards. GREED GREED GREED!

No lol 4060ti(3070) is going to be $499, 4070(3080)$650 right in the middle $150 apart from 460ti and 4070ti to push you for an upsell to the 4070ti. 4080 remains the same to make 4090 look better.

A Ti model usually sells 100-200 more than the non-Ti. I doubt this will be less than 600, with 700 being the AIB target. I think this will move a lot of gamers off of PC hardware and move more users to Console/Cloud gaming. If I were a teenager with no job, I’d much rather be saving up for a car than a GPU. I guess this is targeting older gamers with deep pockets. 600 is not affordable

if they just plainly make each number best for a certain resolution, im okay with it. 60/70 for 1440p and 80/90 for 4k. but they need to adjust pricing and marketing to reflect how they optimize the cards Not to mention gamers purchasing power is funding there experimental cards, 3 generations in and we dont have max HDR or dolby vision, ray tracing optimization, 60 / 120 standard 1440/4k.
