Your drywall vids are excellent. Please consider doing other topics, like carpentry or whatever. I think a lot of people will find them useful, like me. Best wishes and big thanks from a fan and neighbor south of the border

Ben, I have spent the last few months going through all of your videos…they are fantastic! You’re a wonderful teacher! I was able to use your videos to complete the walls in my bathroom (smooth even!!) . I couldn’t have done it without your videos…and it would have cost me an arm and a leg to have someone do it (I’d rather do it myself anyway!). Anyway…just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to teach folks to do your skill…it was much appreciated!

Thank you. I am not a dry guy but it's something I do from time to time and I want to do the best job that I can. You are my drywall guru. This video taught me a lot about trowels that I didn't even know that I didn't know.

After 35 years in the plaster trade, my first choice for veneer or conventional plaster is Kraft elite series stainless trowels and second choice is Marshalltown. For drywall Marshalltown is my first choice. I have tried Curry on multiple occasions and are my third choice for plaster and absolutely hate them for drywall.

As a flooring installer, I've spread a LOT of glue on concrete (sometimes on myself). When your Trowel **is** an extension of your hand, it disappears, and you can make the glue do whatever you want. I loved every detail of this video. I'm no mud Picasso, just a beginner, but my 14x5 Marshalltown SS finishing trowel and hawk works well for me. Most of the mud ends up on the wall rather than the floor. 😅 **Ben is the BEST!**

My replacement corner bead project (rusted in bathroom window) went very well thanks to your tips. Thank you!

Great video content, I like how you analyze features that really make a difference that others never seem to understand. Now I'm out to measure my trowels and see where I'm at. "Knuckling the corner" is a thing I've done before.

I LOVE my Level 5 12”x 4.75” trowel! You should give them a try. Pretty much all I use, started with marshalltown but the level 5 just feels better! Highly recommended!

Thank you. Every time you post it makes my day. Your little black doggie is beautiful and the way that you interact with your wife as she acts as your camara operator, so respectful, so caring. You inspire a lot of people, please keep doing it.

My all-time FAVORITE trowel is the one YOU use while you're doing my drywall work for me.

Ben, I never drywalled or did any home style anything ever. I was a landscaper and irrigation guy for 15 years. Bought a duplex and 3 contractors later with botch after botch after poor decisions, i found myself having to stop and do all the work myself.

3 different drywallers got fired because of the joint compound and mesh tape, and how they "would float" out a wall an extra inch.

Seeing your videos, and watching many hours of them, i used fibafuse, ez sand, amd joint compound for the top coat.

My quality at the end was so good, that the one drywaller came back to collect his tools that he left from before i fired him, and he said "whoever you hired, actually is really good. Those outlet blanks came out good"

And i felt so good knowing a pro drywaller who does tbis daily, was jealpus and impressed by the difference and finesse.

I have to say, im finishing up the broken joints and corner beads with all the knowledge you gave me from your videos, and im super confident, i do it with such arrogance as i feel like im a pro myself now and the results i could not be any happier with.

I finally subscribed as you earned it and i absolutely reference your channel to many people as you are the ONLY one showing us the worst case scenarios and how to do it right in the face of disaster.

Your pva glue trick also works miracles and to this day, not a crack on any of my repairs and they are literally perfectly smooth.

Thats how i knew they were tailgate contractors. The joint compound would crack so bad within a week and it was shocking. Or they would just layer it and not sand it down.

Thank god for your channel and im excited to use your door install videos as my doors just got cut out from being so abused and painted 12 times. And i KNOW my door openings are fubared and crooked. So im excited to pursuade these doors in with the planer and multitool.

Thank you again ben for the confidence and now i consider myself a pro and would HAPPILY FIX OTHER PEOPLES DRYWALL FOR PAY

Perfectly timed video as I’m in the market for a new trowel and trust your opinion. It’s surprisingly difficult finding honest reviews of different drywall tool brands. Thank you!

This DEEP DIVE is so necessary! I'm returning to my garage finishing (hung the drywall last summer...). I've been using a trowel for a while for applying the mud - but would really like to do my skim and feathering with a trowel. I couldn't find anything good at Home Depot so a bought a new 14" dewalt knife - i hope it works... now i know I need a 5x14 stainless trowel! Thanks Ben.

I think you should do more mud framing videos.

Alot of us home owners out here that bought new construction homes in the last year or two.... Yeah. There isnt a flat or straight wall in my entire house.

Ive been studying your mud framing vidros like a college course.

I love Kirk, he reminds me of the Ringmaster at the circus as his kids are performing. You need to do a video with the headset for him. I have no idea how he can keep doing stucco at his age, but he taught me how to do a dashed finish for my last 2 houses.

I was waiting the whole video for you to dog the gold marshalltown because that's the one I bought 😂 trowels are not common here in Ohio so I had a hard time finding one when I started watching your videos. Changed my life man, idk how I ever got any work done with a 12 inch knife!

When I was working on my project and I saw you were using a trowel all fancy like, I knew I wouldn't be able to handle all that. I ended up buying a 10" knife and doing my drywall with a knife and pan. However, I also installed tile and I did need a trowel for that and wished I got the trowel for drywall. It was pretty intuitive. Also, my wheelbase changes cause I always buy whatever deck is on sale. It's the broke life! I always make sure to get a double nose though. Can't go back to having a tail after that.
