im jamaican....i notice we have all the ingredients here to make this dish. All this time...we had cassava, yam, plaintain....and it could make fufu. No one here makes fufu, but just by watching ur video, fufu could easily become one of jamaica's favourite dishes if we learn how to make it, and start selling it in restuarants. Amazing video. I love Nigerian dishes.

I am German. 1. this is absolutely amazing! Thank you for the recipe! 2. Now I know why African men and women are so strong. The women from making the fufu. Its quite a workout, and the men from eating it. It is packed with the power you stir it with :)

I want some fufu so bad. Growing up I would get to eat it from my neighbor, we called her mama Nimbe, who made it this same texture and consistency. It was so delicious. We always felt so comforted and loved when she made us things.

Very wonderful and appetizing. Thanks for the new style. How ever the species of cassava in Igbo land are highly acidic and that's the reason for soaking. I suggest that to avoid any health hazards, if you are not sure of the species of cassava you are using, it is safer to soak the cut cassava in water at least over night, then drain the water and blend. Just my personal opinion, please. Thanks.

PERFECTION: that is the way cassava supposes to peel, you are the very FIRST Nigerians I see peel the actual skin off not flesh too. I watched Nigerian's movies; actresses dig in the flesh. I though Nigerian do not know how to peel cassava, now I see you does it the way we America's peel cassava

African recipes are the mother of the islands the Caribbean and all coastal areas in north and south American countries. I am from
Puerto Rico and we make many similar dishes, love it

Thank you so much Queenvarieties. This reminds me of polenta/cormeal - delicious. I remember my Jamaican Grandmother cooking bami which is made from cassava and as you mention she would soak for a couple of days and could use the by product as starch for ironing clothes. Also Ackee also has the potential to be poisonous if not harvested at the right time - we have to listen and learn from our elders about herbs, food, drink, libation and meditations, that's why they live long!
