Bees only really die when they sting humans, humans have very elastic skin and as you may know something like a splinter with pull on the skin. The same happens with bee stingers, however. If you let the bee wiggle free without stressing it out it could possibly survive.

Actually, the only bee that dies from stinging is the Honey Bee. Its stinger has "hooks" that makes it impossible to pull out of the skin, cause all the bees nerves, digestive system, and insides to come out when it tries to fly off.
