My cousin and I once visited a friend who raised bees. As we walked by the hives, one stung her on the arm. Our friend took a bottle of ammonia and put it on the sting. She went from tears to smiles almost instantly. And when I lived in AZ and told a neighbor about it, she said that's why they always keep ammonia on hand not only for bees, but also for scorpions.

The most painful sting I ever had was when I was clearing a rubble pile on a farm. I pulled out an old rusty gate from the pile of bricks and concrete and broke open a wasps hive.
Instantly the air was filled with angry buzzing yellow and black flying devil's, all intent on inflicting as much pain on me as possible.
Instinct took over and I ran like I'd never run before, but this was not fast enough and within seconds I felt the 1st shot of pain on my arm (it was summer and I was wearing just shorts and a t-shirt), I headed for my car and had only suffered half a dozen stings by the time I had my door open. I flung myself in and slammed the door behind me, but 1 last wasp made it onto my flesh.
I wouldn't wish that experience on anyone, and steer clear of any situation that could result in a replay of one of the worst times of my life.

in short: the stinger is a part of their body, and when they sting you, the stinger will stay in and they’ll pretty much fall apart.
I pretty much think wasps are immune for this.

You deliver this monologue in most calm and soothing way possible. Making a person go to sleep while watching a video about bee stings.

I got stung by a bee when I was pregnant. It was the first time and everyone panicked thinking I might be allergic to it so they rushed me to ER. On the way, we got stopped for speeding but ended up being escorted to the ER. I wasn’t allergic and all was well.

I find it hard to believe that bees only sting you when you’re threatening them. The first and only time I got stung by a bee I was at a water park with my family and, when I was waiting to go down a slide, my hand was on this plastic wheel behind me. Little did I know a bee had climbed onto my hand and promptly stung me. Suicide? We’ll never know (before you say it was a wasp, the stinger was stuck in my hand afterwards).

If you wanna save yourself 20 minutes:

The stinger on a bee is barbed, so when it tries to pull itself free, it really just pulls its digestive tract, muscles and nerves out, like pulling the meat off of a chicken wing in a good slide.

I've only ever been stung by a hornet, and it happened because they made a nest on my garbage bin outside. I forgot they lived there, took out the trash, and got stung once. It was pretty painful but I was surprised that only one of them stung me. After watching this i was kinda surprised to hear that hornets are less hostile than wasps

1:56 they don’t sting insects that attack the hive, they launch onto the insect and flutter their wings to make the insects so hot that it kind of dies

Wasps are menaces.

I remember when I was about 7 years old I was playing in one of those old foldable pools in the front-yard by myself in summer and I will never forget the moment my naive joy was stopped by the sight of the wasp floating right above the water In front of me. At first I tried to go under the water to avoid it but after a while I couldn’t hold my breath anymore so I went up again and the bastard was still there. Then after nearly drowning myself I decided to make a last ditch effort for freedom and run; only for my other foot to get caught on the side of the pool, I skinned my knee. But the worst part was that after all that mental torture the wasp just left me there… it didn’t even sting me. And I’ve never forgotten that day.

I'm allergic to bees, anaphylaxis level. My most recent (a few years ago) bee sting experience was my worst. I was at a park in a pavilion which wasn't full of bees, but as it got hotter and the more sugary stuff melt in the trash cans, the more bees came out. I was just sitting, but moved to cross my legs, not realizing a bee had decided to make my inner thighs his new seat. So, as I closed my legs, the fucker stung me. I mangaged to get down benadryl and we went to the hospital. But after we got home hours later, I had a rebound reaction. *After* the usual time. So I had to go back for a longer monitoring 🤣

I actually have been stung by one at summer camp. My staff leader actually had pick me up as soon as I was stung and ran me all the way back to camp as to avoid any further stings and get me straight to the nurses station.

I don't remember being stung by a bee, nettles however is another story, but usually I tend to avoid bees, I think this stemmed from when I was a kid as one time I was outside on the patio and I saw this absolutely massive bumblebee it was bigger than all others I've ever seen but from what I remember is I freaked out and went straight back inside which also probably explains me not liking anything that's bigger than what the normal size is.

My brother and I were playing nerf a time ago and once we started the battle he went behind something that had 4 bees flying around it, I thought it was big flys that were flying around, but once my brother went behind he got stung by one of them, he was crying so badly.
FUN FACT: the bee that stung him didnot die because it was a bee that would not latch on to him so it was a wasp that stung him.

And this is why it’s best to be active and fit, if you do that then you’ll have a more higher chance of outrunning bees

I’ve only been stung by wasps, and I’m pretty sure I’m allergic. I was playing softball and it got me in the arm and my arm went numb for awhile. My dad is allergic. Never got stung by a honey bee. They’re sweet. I make sure to leave them alone.

The fact that it is January and too cold for bees/wasps in the UK, I was able to learn from this video without being on edge. Thank you.
