Hi everyone! I'm an American from the Northeast (New England). I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through YouTube videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. Let's be respectful but, just as importantly, not be afraid to question any and everything about historical records in order to give us the most accurate representation of the history of our species and of our planet!

That image of the Queen at Prince Phillip's funeral just breaks my heart.

Connor you have a very good soul . I'm 60 years old and you brought a tear to my eye with your passionate words . Your words should be watched by every UK politician and nay sayer in these islands . My mother is Welsh, my father's family are from Ireland, I was born in England so most of these islands bloods run through these veins and I'm damn proud to be British . You are the best of our American cousins . Thank you .

The image of the Queen sitting alone at her husband's funeral is so painful. I am not a royalist but I am a humanist, I just see an elderly lady all on her own in her grief. Left to sit alone when she should have been surrounded by her family and loved ones for support. The image of Charles standing is another one, just a grieving, broken man who has just lost his mother: the rock in his and so many of our lives.

Your words at the end were very meaningful and heartfelt

As an Australian Elizabeth ascended the throne when I was 3, she has been a constant for most of my life. Even though a lot of us are not royalists she was admired and respected. You words were very kind mate,

Its was the greatest piece of luck that I was born an Englishman. I only have to look back at my individual heritage that is traced back to 1386. I couldn’t be more proud of my country. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

Of course the Queen, on becoming queen, as such a young age, famously and publicly. vowed to serve her country and her people, whether her life be long or short. And she did it for so long. Yes that was Prince Philips funeral, during lock down. It's heartbreaking. But I, for one, am so proud of being British. Not of everything this country has done, some of it was shameful, but things were were different. then We did though, start the abolition of slavery. For that we can be very proud. And your words have moved me. You're such a thoughtful and beautiful young man. Thank you..

Thank you so much for your comments Connor, it's such a shame that so many UK citizens don't feel the same about our achievements and compassion towards the rest of the world. Now you've got me crying so I'll say it one more time, Thank You.

Thank you for what you said, very much appreciated. We really need to hear that right now. There are those who try to blame us for the wrongs of the past, instead of looking at the positives. Some have disdain for those of us who take pride in our nation, history and culture.
