This video was so helpful! I’ve been trying to diversify where I buy books because I used to be an avid Book Outlet fan but after hearing about what happened with black creators, I couldn’t in my good conscience support them anymore. I have known since I was in the book community that Amazon damages authors but I didn’t know how. I didn’t know that Half Price Books had a website!! I’m definitely going to try and use it but I have no Half Price Books in my area though so I’m not sure if they ship. However, I love my Barnes and Noble membership and I’m excited to try out Bookshop! I also love Libby. I’ve been using it a lot especially because of the pandemic. Hope you’re safe and great video!

I love slugbooks for college textbooks. It compares the prices of your textbooks on multiple websites. You can find your textbooks for buying or renting. You cant find textbooks that are sold exclusively through their website but every textbook can be found on it otherwise. You can also use slugbooks to sell your textbooks as well. I recommend using slugbooks with thriftbooks in another tab. That way you can compare the prices that slugbooks finds with the one on thriftbooks

I work at Booksamillion and I love it. Even though I have my employee discount, I still have the membership because there are special perks that come with it! I love when customers come in and say they are so happy we as a company are open to support in person book buying. Someone yesterday said they come to us even if something is a little cheaper on Amazon because they like to support bookstores.

The book barn in Niantic, CT is my favorite place to shop!!! It’s a bunch of building FILLED with used books! And they’re all 99¢-$6. The owner is super nice and they have cats and goats! I highly recommend taking the trip up there!

Thrift books is were I get all my architecture books! It helps me build my library and prepare for grad school while on a budget.
