I miss shutting down a computer without seeing a stupid update screen.

Back in time, owning one of these machines was a real blessing

I;m glad there are people out there documenting this type of thing.

Like looking at photos of your first true love.

NT4.0 was the best Windows ever. It was bulletproof with no hickups, no crashses. I kept the computer running for years and it never had to bootup due to any problem. If a program was misbehaving, it was simply stopped and removed.

The NT startsound is the best from all Windows versions.
Windows NT was the new way for XP and upper.

I miss those times. Still have a couple of working 486s.

Man, that was a flash back and a half. I built so many Windows NT work station computers in the day, I could almost do it blind folded. The prompt music still resinates in my ears ... thank you for sharing.

Just hear that sound with headphones. ❤Wow... Thank you for the memories

The intensity of that colors is amazing

That brings back so many memories. The only issue I have with your setup is you should be using a 13-in CRT monitor😂😂

A Packard Bell running WinNT this hits me in the feels.

Windows NT 4.0 is my favorite OS. I installed it on my new computer in 1997 based on the VIA Apollo PA-2007 board and AMD K6-200, 64 MB SDRAM DIM. Unlike Windows 95, the computer worked stably for months without the need to reboot.

The fact that it starts faster than the fucking win 10 work laptop that finds updates every day..

Windows 2000 was a polished Windows NT.

In 1996 there wasn't an optical disk recorder capable of 48x24x48. Heck, even in 1999 the recorders available were barely x2-x4 speed. I have a TDK recorder with 48x24x48 capability and it was the newest technology in 2002.

The way you punish that keyboard screams Elder Abuse 😂

I had that same Packard Bell 2240 computer back in the mid 90s. It had Windows 95, 200Mhz Pentium with MMX, 32MB RAM. I bought it as a display model from American Appliance back around 1997. I did a lot of upgrading on it while I had it.
cheezstke
We never had NT growing up. Went straight from 95 to 98.
