Prosecutors are demanding a six-month jail term and a fine of 45-hundred U.S. dollars for former French president Nicolas Sarkozy over campaign finance violations for his 2012 re-election bid.
In Paris Thursday,... the prosecution said Sarkozy clearly regrets nothing as he has attended just one hearing.
The court also heard how Sarkozy's campaign team spent around double the authorized 27 million dollars in a failed bid to hold off his Socialist rival, Francois Hollande.
