I wish they would have sent you more because with just white and purple you are limited, but thank you for the review. Holbein is my very favorite line of color pencil and I use them all the time. I mainly do underlayers with Poly Chromos, then Meltz, then Holbein top layers and then more Meltz, to finish. They work very well with Luminance which I still prefer for skin and portraits but for everything else I prefer my one two punch with Poly Chromos and Holbein. Meltz is a game changer-I have not use my Inktense or my Neocolor Crayons since discovering how well they dissolve and blend Oil Pencils. It's almost like working paint...very very cool.

I tried the meltz, and noticed it would 'melt' oil-base pencil like polychromos very well but don't works on my waxier pencil like Derwent Drawing and Caran Dache. On the same note, waxier pencil will layer better on top of melted oily pencil than the oil-base pencil itself... I only tried on watercolor paper and mix media paper btw, same result.
