Holbein Artist Colored Pencils: First Experience

I have been using them for a couple years yes my set came from Japan. I absolutely adore them and they are my favorite of all my pencil sets. They will be sold in open stock at Blick and I am so happy about this.

I was really interested in your pencil holding technique. I have a habit of holding coloured pencils too tight while I colour and I have to stop every so often for a hand stretch! This technique also gives a much softer effect. Love it Lolly, Thank-you. X

I have been using them for years now yes my first set came from Japan. I am so happy that Blick will now be carrying them in open stock so now I can use them more often and not be so sparing with them LOL I have several artists quality brands of pencils and these are my absolute favorites above all.

So pretty! I may have to try some of those pencils. The last time I colored with mine, I was sharpening more than coloring! Very frustrating!

I really wanted to live Prismacolor because I've seen so many gorgeous finished works, but I could never make them work for me and was constantly frustrated. I love my Polychromos and Holbein pencils, and I even prefer my Crayola 120 over Prismas.

In calling these pencils lightfast you need to indicate which of the two international standards they have been tested by. However, to my knowledge neither of them have tested so cannot be called lightfast for professional artists. Please advise if I am wrong.
