alkalis are used to make cleaning product like soup and ceramic like tiles.
An alkali solution can be disposed by a litmus paper shown as deep blue.
Alkali is most defined as a solution with negative and positive ions. The negative ions or electrons are in former from metals in group 1 and 2 called as alkalimetals and alkali iodide metals. A base solution is slippery (anyone wanna explain?), tastes bitter, has a pH below 7 and react with acid to form a salt in solution with water that also forms. In arrhenius theory a base is anything that makes the water have OH^- - hydroxide ions, while in lewis theory a base equals a electron pair donnor ( anyone wanna explain this and fill other necessary things)? Kb is the equlibrium constant and describes the product of when a atom like b takes up a ion like H+ and forms HB+. Kb = [HB+]/[B] x [H+] in this case. In the original formula with words it is Kb= equlibrium constant = product/first reactant x second reactant. The higher kb the greater ability for uptake, so the stronger the base (high towards ph14) The lower the kb the worse the ability is for uptake, so the weaker the base (low towards ph7). This is a script but a few changes and I know that copying all and make small change with no making it smaller is not going to make you remember for a long time. Hope this helped somehow. And yes, i am very sloppy with writing. Come with feedback!

Omg this helped me so much Do you have a video based on matter? Because other videos don’t rlly explain it 😂 but you explain it well

I was trying to figure out the differences b/w alkalis and bases and came to this conclusion 0:58

Is it supposed to be carbon ions or carbanions(as said in the video)?

I really like your videos. Very lucid explanations. Please correct the spelling of donor (spelt donnor) @1.31m and phenolphthalein (spelt phenolphtalein) @ 2.31m in this video.

amateur here - so at 02:08 are we saying that a base can also be defined as "a substance which can readily absorb and lock H+ ions" ?

What I would do definitely is when giving the definition show the definition. Secondly go slower in your speech
