I agree that the music was a bit loud. Also it seems as if the speaker is in a hurry. For me the video can easily last a minut longer when it therefore is easier to understand. The explanation that pain increases after sitting, especially stting low, because it agravates tension on the tendon is a tricky one. The flexion loading of the lumbar spine also increases by sitting and more by sitting low.. In my opinion the Lumbar spine may actually be often the source or main reason for this syndrome as pain may radiate there in a direct dermatoom or subcutaneous or myotoom way. Also there can be a lumbar induced weakness of the hip abductors which may cause a giving away of the hip on longer walking and this local tension and compression problem. From the wider pelvis it is easy to understand that the problem is more in women. So to treat this right and longlasting you have to exclude the lumbar spine as a possible cause or to treat that first before doing therapy locally!

I found hip abductor and ER strengthening exercises are useful in hip trochanter pain syndrome.
