On one of my deployments I came back from a mission that I had 4 bullet holes in my pants....still don't know how they missed me, but am extremely thankful. And I mean 4 in and out for a total of 8, just as I assume those 6 in that heroes pants was really 12 holes (in and out). It's really a mystery why better Soldiers than me got hit and I never got a scratch on me. Thanks to all the Vets and am extremely grateful for the future Patriots that are enlisting as I type this.

I’m glad this story is told about ODA 765. Tom, Brendan, Matt (all medics BTW) Abram, Sheffield, Rocky (Terp) and the rest of the team’s efforts that day were hanging by a thread. Tom’s death was one of the hardest, out of many, to have to go through. Rocky’s reputation was written in granite from his actions that day only to be sandblasted away when he was caught gathering information on Camp Vance in 08-09
