Working at a soul crushing, minimum wage job for a year is what inspired me to pursue my dreams.

I feel like people are misunderstanding the point of the video. He isnt saying start up a buisness and become a millionare or that working at macdonalds gives you the money to start up a business. He is saying that your first job doesnt define you, puts work experience on the table and (in subtext) gives you the right mindset in order to become financially stable.

I found out this is a lie. I have worked over 20 years make good money and good credit but nobody wants to loan you the capital you need to start a business. It's like pulling teeth and the system feels like it against you.

My dad worked at McDonald’s for over 30 years and when he quit he didn’t even get a thank you… all they did was get mad at him for needing to find a replacement… corporate ladder-work experience my ass!!

My first job my McDonald’s. I was 18 and customers would take the piss out of me for working there by making out I was dumb, but I all other companies wanted me to have work experience. I just left school and had no work experience so McDonald’s were the only ones that took me on. I worked there for a year and a half, got a bit of work experience and then left to climb the ladder elsewhere. Never looked back

Mark, id love some advice for someone starting out in their 30s when compound interest is less effective.

Ah yes. I too learned how to start a multi million dollar company and made enough money to start it by getting paid wages at or below the poverty line. Great advice🖕

Gotta start somewhere and something is better than nothing. What matters is having a goal and knowing how to get there.

For my 1st job, i was pressure washing tire rims and now im glad to say im an engineer leading a group of 20 people. You do what you do to get around and it will definitely look good on your resume when looking for a better job opportunity.

Very well said, I like how he acknowledges that people ridicule other people for working somewhere like McDonald’s which is just ridiculous. You gotta start somewhere. I started out cutting peoples lawns with a weed Wacker for 10 dollars per lawn. Then I started washing dishes.
