If I get a classic car or sports car I want a stick shift.

I went from Automatic to Manual. I think it’s good to start out automatic so you learn the rules of the road and get use to driving around other cars. Then start to have fun getting a manual.

More like an American anti-theft device, or a Canadian anti-theft device

Lol I took my driving test in a 82 Datsun pickup with no power steering and a bad synchro in 2 nd gear and you had to double clutch it. My dad’s philosophy was if you can drive junk then you can drive anything. What’s even more is telling someone to drive a 3 on the tree. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that most people have never driven a column shift manual. We had a 67 ford pickup that had a column shift that thing would melt the tires.

I taught my wife how to drive manual transmission on a 71 Dodge Sportsman van with manual steering and brakes and three on the tree . It was a lesson that lasted a lifetime.

First manual I ever drove was an 18 speed Peterbilt 379. Pretty sure I can figure out a manual car 😂
