Instead just throw normal room temperature water on glass. I did it many times, best and easy to use.

Best advice I've ever got, use windex. The ammonia in it will melt ice nearly instantly (way faster than scapping or waiting for defrost) and it cleans your windshield.

If your windshield is frozen, jump in your time machine and put a towel on it the night before...

Other methods, warm up the car and use the de fogger, many windshield wiper fluids are also antifreeze, spray it. Use an ice scrapper.

We use windshield scrapers in Canada to scrape off the ice. They work great.

Just use the windshield wash. That stuff is usually good to 30 below or so. It'll make short work of the ice. Anti-freeze. If there's a lot of it you'll have to use the heater as well.

Just use cold tap water. I've done it a thousand times and it does not break the glass but as soon as the ice has melted you will have turn on the wipers otherwise it will refreeze.

The towel maneuver really works. Saved me many days from getting to work late.

Normal temp water or the towel or big car cover all over do work. !!!I checked it out for quite a few winters in Anchorage!! A must!!

I covered the whole car with tarp one time. Worked like a charm.

Window washing fluid (below freezing type) in a small half gallon pump garden sprayer works great. You can leave it outside the front door and it'll be the same temperature as your vehicle window. You can also use alcohol in a pinch.

Simply start your car put heater on full fan speed

Or js put a warm (a bit hot) water in a ziplock bag, seal it, and glide it around the windshield (learned this from another yt shorts vid). Hope this helps! ❤

Just use an ice scraper. I remember when I bought one right after I moved to Oregon, the cashier looked surprised and said "Ooh, where are you going?" I replied "Home." I guess she'd never experienced a Pacific Northwest Winter. We may not get a lot of snow, but when those clouds disappear, our blanket of warmth is gone and it gets cold! We get a lot of ice and freezing rain.

Just use your wiper fluid...it's formulated with alcohol which combined with the defroster will melt the ice faster

I use cold water to losen it. Then a scrapper to remove the ice. I also turn on the heater on low temp and fan setting, for a few minutes before attempting the removal.

Just press the button "Heated windshield" and that's it. Takes like 2-3 minutes. To speed up the process, spray alcohol-based washer on the window, it becomes clear in a minute.

You can buy strong alcohol ice remover fluid at gas station. It takes the ice right off. If youre door lock freezes you can pour hot water in a plastic bottle and hold it onto the lock to unfreeze it. I normally have to do that atleast once every winter.
