Knowing young Qui Gon was voiced by Liam's own son tells you something. They intend to keep Qui Gon close to Liam Neeson's heart and I for one love that.

Qui Gon's animated version looks so uncanny to Liam Nesson's face, both young and old. Usually they have an artistic approach and change it up, but they actually made Qui Gon look like his live action counterpart.

Fun Fact: Young Qui-Gon is voice by Micheal Richardson, Liam Neeson’s son

EDIT: Like father like son

Qui gon was probably gonna introduce Obi-Wan to Dooku after they came back from Naboo, which makes the last talk between the last two even more heartbreaking.

So basically Count Dooku and Qui-Gon Jin are reversed version of Obi-Wan and Anakin. The older one gets to betray Jedi Order.

this makes Dooku's story arc more in depth. It makes the viewers feel for him, much like they did with Anakin. He wasn't always evil. He was pushed toward evil by the Jedi Order.

We really need more Stories of Qui-Gon... 😌

When you think about it, Dooku is kind of the reason anakin acts the way he does. You can see his passion passed down his students

1:07
I like that he doesn’t even verbally answer him, his force push sends a clear message.
“DONT try and stop me.”
And even Qui-Gon know’s he most certainly can’t, he does the smart thing and gets the senator’s son to help him, as if almost telepathically asking him, “Are you really going to take away a boy’s father in front of him?”

2:17 is super depressing to me, cause they have no idea they're running out of time for that
You wouldn't even think about it in the moment, but things change suddenly

I love how you can sense the level of respect that Jedi have for their teachers, even when they themselves have attained a level of mastery. Qui-Gon was considered to be a council level Jedi Master at this point, and yet the respect that he shoes Dooku is telling. Dooku was a few tiers above the average Jedi. His falling to the dark side was a great victory for Sidious. There is a reason there is a statue of Dooku to memorialize him after he left the Jedi.

Is it me or does Dooku's design here remind anyone else of Dracula? As if a callback to Christopher Lee playing him in the Hammer films.

2:08 "It's a great pity our paths have never crossed before, Obi-Wan. Qui-Gon always spoke very highly of you."

0:43 qui-gon’s ignition of his lightsaber
2:30 that elevator stance

Both of these scenes are quite nostalgic of episode I indeed :)

Tales Of The Jedi
Dooku: I should like to meet him some day.

Attack Of The Clones
Dooku: It's a pity our paths have never crossed before, Obi-Wan. Qui-Gon always spoke very highly of you.

Perfect continuity.

Amazing 3 episodes they really gave Dooku‘s character depth and made his fall to the dark side really understandable, I also love that we got to see a bit more of Qui-Gon… and explained what happened to Yaddle. Dave Filoni really outdid himself on this one amazing stuff as always. I really pray we get more episodes of this 🙏🤩 PLEASE DISNEY!

Hard to believe this is Liam's son. It makes perfect sense to get the son as he likely sounds like the father at that age.
