Oh, man I like you. Some of the so-called webp plugins are not even working. I tried two of them and got tired. I think I'll go back to doing my manual uploads using this website. How it's able to maintain the quality and size of wow!

How did you solve the problem when user is connecting with browser that is not supporting WebP ? Is there a plugin for WordPress that can detect that and serve JPG image instead of WebP for that user ?!

Hi! Just found out about webp from your video. So, my question, can I directly upload webp to media library? I read that WP doesn’t allow it? Or has it changed probably?

Thanks Imran, this is nice, and very fast too. However, I don't seem to be able to find the feature to embed the color profile or other exif. I noticed I have adobe color embedded but it was changed. It would be nice if the developer could enable the user to keep the color profile.

Both websites you provided converted to WebP but the size went from 4.02MB to 2.98MB on ImgBoost and 2.75MB on 11zon. Not sure how you're getting the tiny sizes or what I am doing wrong.

What bout if already have hundreds photos in wordpress. Have to delete all in media library and upload new webp format? Any shortcut?

HEY Google Sites does NOT allow Webp IMAGES. If you are needing to optimize your Google Sites webpage search PNG compression. Hope this helps others.
