How to NOT get punched in the nose

Q&A with the coach: Do you struggle with the problem of getting punched in the nose, eyes, chin, or generally in the face while sparring? Chances are it's because of your head position. Changing the angle you carry your skull around on top of your neck will solve a lot of problems

At 62, my "playing days" are over. Having said that, I concur with Mr Ramsey's message...in over 40yrs of boxing, sparring etc I did manage to break my nose twice, so while I admit sometimes "shit happens", very often that "shit" can be avoided or at least minimized.

Great advice, and one thing I always taught my students was to look through your eyebrows! By doing this you will naturally keep your head tilted down!

An additional thing is that if you get punched in the head while being too upright, you're going to lose your balance. Learned that the hard way, had a few near misses with the wall behind me.

I do this often, but still sees a lot novice and even some with some amateur experience lead with their nose. For me I do it as feel it is much better so thanks for pointing out clear. You channel deserve way more credit than it is having, and far way more subscriptions.
