Radiohead - Everything in its Right Place (HD)

This is a re-upload of a now-deleted, fan-created music video that impacted me deeply. I hope it does the same for you.

A poignant comment from the original video:
"We all try to control our little worlds.
We all come up with plans for our future, and we try to stay on track with those plans.
But life just happens, and it can blow everything we thought our life would be out of the water in a blink.
Nothing is ever really in its right place.
Yet, we never stop trying to put things 'right.'
We pick up pieces of our old, broken plans and we try to build new ones, over and over, totally at the mercy of our own chaotic little worlds."

This song never gets old. And I bought the album TWENTY YEARS AGO.

Loved how the film ends and you're left with you staring into yourself for two minutes straight

dude, that bus accident scene is absolutely insane. There is no sound, but it’s filmed and edited in such a way that you can feel and almost hear the impact. Astounding filmmaking.

The oldest you become, the hardest this track/video hits you.

This video needs to be adopted and made into the original video. It kills me that this is still labeled as fan made.

I love how we never see his face until near the end. He symbolizes any man, any of us. And the moments of his life feel all the more poignant and intense because we feel what he experiences. Love, sadness, hope, loss, despair -- life continues. Everything in its right place.

I'm sure I've commented on this video before, but still to this day it's one of the most powerful, well directed and most heart-wrenchingly wonderful videos I've ever seen. This is true art. I don't know why it's not more popular that it is, and I recommend everyone sit through it at least once in their life, even if you don't listen to Radiohead.

Radiohead were ahead of their time.... they're the type of band that are on a par with Kraftwerk, the Doors, Bjork, to name but a few. They break musical barriers and push the boundaries. They will still sound new in another 20 years time. Pure genius.

i just stared working in a big tech company, slowly realizing that you are not a person, but only potential or capital. Listening to this song since over 5 years now. Suddenly I feel the disconnect and its more powerful than ever.

This song is track #1 on the soundtrack of my life between the ages of 15 - 25. I had the same CD player alarm clock forever and this is the song I woke up to for 10 years. No regrets.

The fact that this is so relatable to everyone really shows that we should not place people in to boxes.

Very powerful video, so moving. Many of us will recognize how fragile we are. None of us are immune to the pain that life has in store for all of us.

I heard Radiohead play this song live in 2008 Amsterdam at the Westergasfabriek. I got overwhelmed by sadness and I asked: "Wow, what song is this?!". Now, in 2023 I see this video and hear this song again and get overwhelmed by sadness once again. But somehow, I now get a new feeling that I'm not alone. Thnx Radiohead and thnx fan who made the video

Brings me back to 15 years or so ago when my son and I drove to New Mexico for Thanksgiving with our family. I had waited for him to get off his swing shift and we took off in the middle of the night to make the 8 hour trip. We listened to mostly my son’s music and he was into Radiohead. This beautiful song immediately connected with me as we drove through the night on the deserted New Mexico desert and the melancholic feeling of loneliness yet closeness to family that this song inspires. Always brings me back to that place with my son. Seeing this video for the first time brings the bittersweet cycle of life and family all home for me.
