The brilliance of this song lies in that perfect sound thats so disturbing yet so calming, sets you in a state of contradiction although "everything is in its right place". Just like life, you study (or not), get a job (or not), marry (or not)... Everything in its right place... yet you can feel something's outta place... You can feel some sort of contradiction, some sort of absurdity in your daily actions...

Radiohead is how I realized why we hear songs that we really enjoy without fully understanding what exactly makes them so. You can feel the why, but have yet to understand why.

Radiohead is usually a personal journey of musical discovery for a lot of people. They are one those binge bands that envelope you completely to the point where they are the only thing you listen to for a couple months. When you manage to come out the other side you are a changed person who probably experienced a couple earth-shattering existential epiphanies along the way.

I'm amazed at the fact that Radiohead made a complete change of sound in their music. An immediate transition from 6 years of Alternative Rock to a lasting career with electronic music. And they did it with only 5 notes.
