story of the Brooklyn Bridge begins in the 19th century when the idea for a bridge connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn was proposed.
Construction on the bridge started in January 3, 1870,
After years of meticulous planning and construction, the Brooklyn Bridge was officially opened to the public on May 24, 1883.
The Brooklyn Bridge is a magnificent example of engineering prowess. With a length of approximately 1,825 meters,
it spans the East River, connecting the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Constructing the Brooklyn Bridge was a massive undertaking, both in terms of engineering complexity and financial resources.
The estimated cost of the bridge at that time was around $15.1 million
