wow thank you so much for this, I've had such a mental block with probabilities and this + your explanation of independent events really cleared it up -- i remember doing a question like this about 2 years ago and doing each branch separately (i think there were six events!) and it took me ages, but this just helped it click at last, thank you

Hi Sir, I was just wondering for part a), how do we know that its without replacement? I was under the assumption that I could just do (70/210)^3

Does using nPr work instead to calculate the number of different outcomes you could get for the different orders?

I’ve done questions before where you don’t multiply by how many different outcomes there could be, in what scenarios would this be the case? Thanks very much!
