The Lorier Hydra, CW c65, and Baltic Aquascaphe are all works of art.

That Certina is possibly the best looking diver on the market

Did the backwards installed strap on the Alpinist trigger anyone else, or just me? 😅

My favorites in the $300 to $700 range:
Citizen Tsuyosa
Bulova moon watch (43mm)
Hamilton Khaki Field
That Jorg Gray watch that Obama wore all the time, it was a chrono with the black dial with white stitching

They're all great but that Certina is GORGEOUS. I'm also surprised Unimatic didn't make this cut. Especially the ones with the SW200 movement

Is the seiko presage line a good choice?

$595 for NH35A! I can get a titanium watch with that movement for half the price and with sapphire.

How concerning is the use of plastic materials on the Powematic 80 Prx movement? Is it true that it can't be service?

we simply must include a black dial seiko sarb 033 when compiling such a list.

Yeah, mate, a NH35 isn't a solid caliber for the price It's asking for that watch. You can find a NH35A movement for 35 bucks. Good news is, yeah, they easy to service or outright replace if needed.

Good list and video, but Brew just makes me shrug my shoulders. Of course this is only subjective...

I owned the Lorier but I sold it off. It had a cheap feel to it. The bracelet was meh! It ran well, but the GMT hand was off by a bit and that really frustrates me. As for Seiko, I have been thrice burned by movements that are way off and unable to be regulated. That, along with Seiko’s horrible QC on issues like alignment put me totally off the brand.

Best watch on this list, for my money, is the C. Ward…
