I NEED YOUR HELP. I will be interviewing Alpha M tomorrow to address his absurd video "5 Ways MVMT Watches are BETTER Than ROLEX!". In the video, I want to ask him questions from our community here. Please leave comments with your questions.

Thank you for mentioning Alpina and Certina, certainly overlooked brands that have history and quality

I'd definitely recommend Certina. I have two (although one doesn't count here, it's a DS Quartz, still going strong since 1989), latest being a DS Podium automatic, delighted with both of them. Thanks for the informative reports, truly inspiring.

Finally someone who suggests Mido and Frederique Constant, 2 brands with great value for money! Well done Teddy, as usual.

Can you ask Alpha M what Rolex is he going to buy next with all the money he received from MVMT? I mean he does own multiple Rolex.

I own 1 Hamilton watch, I'm 61 years old, the watch is 61 years old, it was given to my mother by a jeweler she worked for, it was serviced once years ago by Hamilton (I think sometime in the late 90's) it's in a gold case and put a 16mm leather band on it. I have no son's but daughters, no intention of selling it, but I am going to find how much or little its worth.
As far as your suggestions, I am interested in a Mido or Alpina (sp). I have heard very good things about both. Not everyone can afford or willing to spend thousands on a luxury brand. Though I have always had my heart set on a Speedmaster and as of late Tudor has caught my eye. Many people have hate for some of these brands mentioned because of their parent corporations. Invicta or Fossil have bought some good brands, and should look at what is produced and not the owner. I have a Zodiac, love the watch and I do know Fossil owns them.

When you see that Tissot has an entrylevel automatic watch with sapphire for max 350 Euro, why would anybody even consider a MVMT?

Great list. One should buy Tissot or Hamilton and stop looking at watches for mental and financial health :) that never happens tho

The Longine Hydroconquest is also a good choice under the k mark. Great video got me thinking about some other brands. Thank you.

I would definitely go with my Certina DS 1 Powermatic 80, grey dial, rose gold indices, ss case. Beautiful, available, versatile, tasteful, around $500-700. This was my pick over the Hamilton Intra Matic. Nice list Teddy!

Definitely the Hamilton for me. Ive had one for many years, hasn't missed a beat and looks great. Like the look of the Constant and the Tissot visodate.

I like how he goes directly to the point. Not a lot of talking, short and very well made videos 👌

I just found out about your channel yesterday, and I was searching exactly this! Was looking for up to 1000$ range Swiss watch, and here it is you just upload it the next day. Almost like a custom made video haha. Thanks man.

Was also looking at Baume & Mercier entry level line as well.

Just gotta say, great job the way you present the watches with their real market value ranges, and watch types. Subscribed!

I like the Victorinox. Bought one on recommendation from my local jeweler as a handsome but very durable alternative for when working around the house doing landscaping and such. It’s a bit chunkier than a Rolex Sub, but still pretty comfortable. And one doesn’t have to worry about wrecking an expensive timepiece. I bought the stainless/blue face diver watch with stainless bracelet about five years ago and have rarely taken it off since. Keeps very accurate time and is tough as nails.

Good shout with Tissot, quality watch brand for the money, as well as Fortis.

I must admit that, however nice I find many Hamiltons, it’s impossible for me to think of them as "Swiss" watches, even though they're made there, because virtually every design I see them produce seems to be merely a retro throwback to a design of theirs from when they were the top American watch company. Of course, I'm old enough to remember my father going off to work wearing his American-made Hamilton tank watch, but I still think of the brand as an American watch company whose products just happen to be built in Switzerland.

Hamilton Khaki King, a little more dressier than the other Khaki Field cousins, power reserve of 80 h and with day & date complications applied with more symmetry in its dial. Between $450-550 a killer option for a everyday day/workday watch. Nice video, cool suggestions 😎👌.

I have a Hamilton Jazzmaster that was a birthday present maybe 10 years ago. It's very thin and very elegant. Thing is, Jazzmasters (mostly) don't have second hands, so there's no way to tell that it's a quartz watch!
I love it. Elegant accurate, thin.
